September Newsletter 2022

Hi Everyone,

We have started off the new season with lots of exciting advancements. We now have an online booking system, woohoo! Thanks to everyone for their patience while we got our not very techy brains around it all, now that everything is set up we are loving the simplicity of clients being able to book whichever day suits best and set up automatic payments – you no longer have to waste any precious time paying invoices or re-enrolling every term.

We are now officially affiliated with the New Zealand Pony Club Association as part of a new scheme called Centre Membership, which allows riders without their own ponies or access to a regular pony club branch to work towards getting their internationally recognised Pony Club Certificates. This involves paying a small fee to NZPCA for membership, which then allows our coaches to sign off on the riders certificate cards. Once the card is full, riders are eligible to sit an examination for their level. The NZPCA certificates work systematically to provide rider education to a high standard with both ridden and theoretical knowledge components.

Pony Club certificates are available for all ages and levels of competency with even a lead rein achievement card available for our youngest members.
The Certificates attainable are;

  • Lead rein
  • D
  • D+
  • C
  • C+
  • B
  • H
  • A

A booklet containing all the examination syllabuses is available on the pony club website, as well as lots of other handy information. www.nzpca.orgWe are looking forward to getting riders signed up and working towards their exams!

Sadly we said goodbye to Solly as she headed off to teach one last little kid to ride before her well earned retirement (She is 28 years old!). A lot of our riders have been missing her, so we hope you will enjoy this picture of her and Phoenix at his first ever show <3

We are adding some new equine members to the team, who we hope will make excellent mounts for the riding school, and also some new horses are here for livery – Welcome!

That’s all for now, don’t forget to get your sign ups in for camp!
