It’s that time of year again! Your children have been begging for a pony as usual, and you need to satiate their hunger for all things equestrian as much as possible while delaying actually sinking your life savings into a very expensive lawn-mowing money to poop converter…
Never fear! With the help of our handy horse girl shopping guide below (written by real life grown up actual horse girls) your little one will be as happy as a freshly washed horse rolling in its own manure the night before a show!
In other news, we have new paddocks going in left right and center! This will allow us to take on more livery clients (for those children who have been successful in wearing down their parents, sorry guys!) and continue expanding, woohoo!
Our Pony Club record cards have arrived and we are looking forward to getting those signed off for our center members. And have got theory workbooks in the works for riders to get signed off during theory sessions.
We have also just taken our first few new therapeutic riding clients! This is a very exciting new addition to the services we offer now that we have the lovely Tiana with us, who brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in providing therapeutic riding for riders with differing mental and physical needs. Welcome to the team Tiana!
We enlisted the help of my dad to build a super sized mounting block and ramp as seen above, allowing us to cater to riders with a wide variety of needs safely. Horses walk in and stand in the chute, keeping them straight and still while riders mount.
I have been really enjoying seeing all our students grow so much in their confidence and ability these last few weeks, everyone has been super brave trying out new things and new ponies and the hard work is certainly paying off, well done everyone! Special mention to our adult riders who have been working super hard as well!
Without further ado – here is your horse girl guide to Christmas shopping for your little ones! http://amequestrian.co.nz/uncategorized/christmas-gift-guide//
Give me a call any time if anyone has any questions or feedback on our new program, I love to hear from you all and look forward to these next few weeks of teaching before we break for the holidays on the 23rd of December.
Cheers,
Ashley
