OUR CAMPS
Our camps are focused on having fun, making new friends, and building confidence with our equine partners.
Each day includes one formal lesson as well as all sorts of activities, such as mounted games, arts and crafts, theory sessions, trail rides, paint the ponies, apple bobbing, team challenges, and lectures from local equine professionals.
Day programs most commonly run from 9am-3pm. Riders bring a packed lunch and clothing for any weather – we can take care of the rest!

CHRISTMAS PARTY & SLEEPOVER
13th December 2025
Join us at our Christmas Party for a shared BBQ potluck style dinner, secret santa, and optional sleepover. Whole family welcome!
5pm – 9am, this is a free event.
CHRISTMAS SHOW CAMP
20th – 21st December 2025
Need a break to get some last minute Christmas shopping in? Leave it with us to entertain and educate with a fun Christmas themed camp, finishing up with attending our Christmas Show, an on site event.
QT SHOW JUMPING CLASSIC
2nd – 4th January 2026
Attend the QT Festival of Showjumping with us! 1/2 day of prep, 2 full days of competition, tons of fun and experience riding and watching the pros at Queenstowns main event!
LAKE HAYES SHOW CAMP
9th – 10th January 2026
Lake Hayes Show is the event of the season, a quintessential queenstown experience!
Our show camp provides all the know how, pony and rider prep, transport, and show day guidance.
Riders camp over Friday night so that they are on site and ready to go bright and early Saturday morning as we travel to and compete in the Lake Hayes A&P Show.
SUMMER SLEEPAWAY CAMP
12th – 16th January 2026
Join us for our first ever fully sleepaway camp at Shotover! This camp runs 9am Monday 12th – 3pm Friday 16th January.
Expect an exciting week with action packed adventures, specialty lessons, in depth educational sessions, tons of fun and games, swimming in the river, and girl scouts style camping and cooking. Designed for our older riders who are keen for a fully immersive equestrian week away from home.
Full and half week options available, ride our horses or bring your own!
SUMMER DAY CAMPS
26th – 30th January 2026
Always a highlight of the year – hot days make for lots of extra fun with water based games, river rides, arts and crafts, and awesome summer memories made.
Join us for a day or more with our horses or yours.
Expect to help care for the ponies, have riding lessons, go on trail rides, and play mounted games with friends. Riders working towards their Pony Club certificates will have plenty of opportunities to work towards getting record cards signed off also.
AUTUMN CAMP

The best time of year to go exploring and see the vibrant Autumn colours on a river ride, attend the Anzac Day children’s hunt, learn how to clip a horse, fun arts and crafts activities – the possibilities are endless!
$150 per day at AME, additional charges for attending childrens hunts
