LEARN TO RIDE
Here at A M Equestrian we love to share the joy of riding with others! Whether you are learning how to mount safely and correctly or working on perfecting your showjumping round, we have horses and coaches to suit a range of abilities, and pride ourselves in providing a solid foundation of the basics, allowing riders to enjoy horses across many different disciplines.
Standard lessons are 1hr long, and include learning how to correctly groom and tack up the horse, as well as riding. We even have some dedicated horse lovers who even if they are unable to ride, come to us for ground handling lessons and enjoy working with a range of different horses and ponies in order to master their handling skills.
Lessons are available on a casual or a subscription basis, to suit your individual needs. We also offer 30 minute sessions called Groom & Rides, suitable as introductory sessions, or an experience for visitors and their children.

We focus on correct basics, rider balance and position, and clear communication with the horse. For more advanced riders, learn about equine biomechanics, creating balance, suppleness and adjustability in the horse, or refine your jumping skills.

A 30 min session for adult beginners, a perfect introduction to horses and riding!

Meet at AME 10 minutes before your scheduled time to greet your coach, get kitted out with boots and a helmet, and meet your horse. During your session you will learn how to mount and unmount the horse safely, correct rider position, basic aids to walk on, halt, and turn.

Fun 30 min session for junior riders. Developing coordination and confidence around horses.

Make friends with our adorable pint sized ponies with a grooming session, followed by a pony ride around the arena or farm paddocks.
SUBSCRIPTION OPTIONS
Members on subscriptions commit to a regular weekly time slot in order to guarantee their timeslot each week. Members also benefit from reduced rates on many of our services. Read more about our various subscription options below, there is something for everyone!
Subscriptions run on a rolling schedule, which has pre determined holiday break periods during which time you are not billed. Once on a subscription our safe and secure payment processor takes care of the rest without you having to lift a finger! To cancel your subscription, just give 30 days notice in order to give up your slot.
INTRO LESSON
A 30 min taster session for prospective members, designed to introduce you to the very basics of riding with A M Equestrian.

To do so, click on the link, select to register as a client, and fill in the required fields with your details. If you are registering for lessons for someone else be sure to make the account in their own name to ensure we have their correct details.

Here at AME we are all about supporting the locals and are excited to introduce our new locals pricing! Our locals membership program is open to local Queenstown residents, who receive 20% off a range of our services when booking using their membership number.
